No, there is no way I would get a job as an engineer without having a degree.

I want to be an implant designer, so even 5 years of Bachelor and Master degree is not enough, therefore I will study PhD for further 3 years.

No, I wouldn’t. My studies and work so far have given me invaluable foundation without which I would not be able to do what I do.

No I wouldn’t but the type of qualifications could be different. I would hope that if I had chosen an apprentice route I would still be able to do the job I currently do rather than having to go to university.

Well I definitely could not do the precise kind of job i’m doing now without my qualifications, BUT-we do have some apprentice level support technicians who assist with the design of hardware to support researchers on projects like mine-and without a doubt that turns out to also be a meaningful contribution in the end.

No, I’m still in academia (working as a researcher at the university). I did my Biochemical Engineering degree for 4 years and got my Masters, I even did Biomedical Engineering in Toronto, now finishing off my PhD in Biochemical Engineering.
To stay at the university we need a degree.

No, you need a degree to become a PhD researcher, and you need some qualifications to get that degree. You need that background to be able to understand everything later.
