No, I have no knowledge about electronics.

No I have not. One of the directions of study in my university degree was ‘telecommunications’, but I did not choose it (instead I chose ‘electronics’), so I know only the basics about that.

No I haven’t but there are lots of types of engineering involved in the development of phones from software developers, electronics and electrical engineering, mechanical engineers and industrial designers.

Interesting question. Now during my Undergraduate degree(Electrical/Electronics) although we didn’t actually design a functional mobile phone, in various modules we got to design and test independently ‘sub-components’ which make up a mobile phone.

e.g power supply module, signal amplifiers(inverting & non-inverting), signal transmitters and receivers to name a few

We also learned about and got to programme some microcontrollers which you’d find are embedded in most mobile devices today!

Sadly no, I want to though, I heard that there’s a modular phone where you can choose components you like and build it yourself! I want one!

Nope, that is pretty far from my area of expertise.
