• Question: Is there a way to connect a prosthetic limb with the brain so the movement is controlled by the brains electrical signals?

      Great question Amelia-and rather serendipitous as well, as i’m writing a state of the art review on prosthetic control techniques in parallel with my work.
      The short answer is yes-there exists a number of ‘Brain-Machine-Interfaces’ which allow for neural/mind control of prosthetic limbs. If you’re interested in learning more about this, here are some commonly used Brain-Machine-Interfacing sensors; Electroencephalography and Electrocorticography. It is worth noting that these kind of prosthetic control require some form of surgical implantation of the sensing electrode-which is quite possibly one of the downsides of these methods of signal acquisition for prosthetic control.
